We couldn't get our heads around it either.

It looks like ice cream, it's in a cone like ice cream and it has toppings on it like ice cream.

The only thing is...it's made with gorgonzola cheese and is a savoury/sweet snack to die for.

The cheese cone is currently being served by Dusty Knuckle Pizza at the Roath Yard street food market in Cardiff and is going down a storm.

For just £2 - definitely worth it while you are waiting for your pizza - you can have the mini cone of gorgonzola topped with nuts, chocolate and honey.

You'll have to hurry though, the street food event ends today and cones will be served until they run out.

Dusty Knuckle brainbox, Phill Lewis revealed where he got the idea: "I was inspired by my trip to Turin last year, when I went to a slow food festival. There was a chap there who served incredible gorgonzola and I've been looking for a British one since.

"We've taken the cones a bit further with the honey and nuts and it is generating a lot of interest."

But cheese-lovers will have to move fast, Phill says the cones are available this afternoon but won't be at their permanent home over in Canton's Printhaus, other than for special occasions and other street food markets.

If you want a cheese cone then you must leave the house immediately so for more information on Roath Yard click here.
